Target Audience:
Pediatricians, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Residents, and Clinical Staff
Why Join Us:
Firearm Injury is most common cause of death for children and youth in Alabama.
What to expect:
· Participate in a focused session on firearm injury prevention, exploring strategies to protect children and families through community collaboration, education, and advocacy.
· All community breakfasts will be from 7:30–8:30 AM (arrive 10 minutes before)
· Breakfast and Coffee will be Served
· Each event will feature local resources and speakers unique to your community!
· Resources include free cable gun locks, BeSMART materials, and other Alabama Child Health Improvement Alliance resources.
Confirmed speakers include firearm injury prevention experts from the Veteran Administration, Be SMART community leaders, and School based mental health coordinators
