Practice Management Association News, Resources & Education

The AL-AAP Practice Management Association (PMA) provides many resources for its members, including:

  • A group email list for practice managers, staff and pediatrician members

  • A practice managers-only group email list for peer-to-peer discussions

  • An Annual Meeting, including a live Leadership & Management Workshop

  • Live quarterly practice management webinars, which are archived for on-demand viewing

Group Email Lists

  • Practice Management Group Email List - The AL-AAP Practice Management Association maintains a very active group email list. The purpose is to elicit discussion/ask questions of your peers on pediatric practice management issues.  This is the best place to have your questions answered! To participate, you must be a practice manager member of the PMA or a pediatrician member of the Alabama Chapter-AAP. 

  • Practice Managers-Only Group Email List - The PMA also maintains a practice managers-only group email list for those PMA members who want to talk peer-to-peer on issues they are facing in their practices.

To sign up for either of these lists, email Beth Johns, MPH, Chapter Project Coordinator; she will send you a confirmation email from the "simplelists" website.

Annual Meeting / Practice Management Workshop

The AL-AAP Practice Management Association hosts an annual meeting and Leadership & Management Workshop each year on a Friday in September.  Below are future dates, as well as PowerPoint presentations from past meetings.

Live/On-Demand Webinars

The PMA hosts live practice management webinars via Zoom three months.  (Registration information is emailed to Chapter and PMA members approximately two weeks prior.)
